Coombe Hill Deserves Better: Kingston Hill and Crescent Road chaos

The council is meeting to decide whether to reopen Crescent Road, and numbers matter.

When the public gallery is full, councillors listen… and they act.

Kingston Council has already admitted some Crescent Road PCNs were incorrectly issued and is cancelling/refunding them, but the restriction remains. 

Jamal said: “Working with Malika and other local shopkeepers, we have organised a petition of more than 1,300 residents against the closure. We need everyone out to put the pressure on the Council to do the right thing.”

Please come to the Guildhall on Wed 15 January at 7.30pm and help us get Crescent Road reopened!

Dear Councillors

We, the undersigned, call on Kingston Council to restore the 30mph speed limit along the full length of Kingston Hill and to reopen Crescent Road to all motorists.
The current 20mph limit on Kingston Hill causes congestion and slows buses and drivers. Closing Crescent Road to non-residents has forced even more traffic onto Kingston Hill, making gridlock worse.
Coombe Hill deserves better. Restore 30mph. Reopen Crescent Road.
